| Want to become a High School Soccer Referee?? |
A good general knowledge and understanding of the sport, good physical conditioning and the ability to stay cool under pressure are requirements for a soccer referee. Here are the required steps to become a High School Soccer Referee in the Blue Ridge Area. |
| Step #1 You must first register with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. Go to their website and follow the directions for registration from the "Officiating" page. If this is your first North Carolina registration click on the link for "Register a new Account" and complete the form and submit. The form will ask for the name of the local booking agent (in our area this will be David Whitman - Blue Ridge) |

| To register with the NCHSAA as an official, directly go to https://officiating.nchsaa.org/login.aspx . Create a username and password by clicking on “ Register for New Account”. |
| Step #2 Secondly you must register with Blue Ridge Soccer Officials Association as a Soccer Referee by visiting our webpage and completing the online form (link below). Once registered you will began to receive notifications of training meetings and assignments via email. A valid email address is required for proper communication of assignments. |
